A New Home-How Bosnian Refugees Made a Home in St. Louis

"A New Home" is an informative documentary that tells the story of the Bosnian refugees who fled to St. Louis in the early ’90s. It examines their impact on our community and offers a retrospective overview of the war and resulting genocide. The St. Louis area is home to more displaced Bosnians than any other city in the world — perhaps more than 75,000. This 30-year diaspora has benefited the metro area in a multiplicity of ways.

“A New Home” is director Joseph Puleo’s much-anticipated follow-up to his wildly popular “America’s Last Little Italy: The Hill,” which screened virtually during the 2020 editions of both the Showcase and the St. Louis International Film Festival.
